harrier's first version in the source, written by hand: the x64 MSI from its v0.1.0 release.

  • InstallerType: wix and Scope: machine. It installs for all users in Program Files\harrier, with harrier on the PATH.
  • The ProductCode is under the x64 installer, {3BC82F39-D1BE-45F4-8BA4-9CFBCF01F211}, read from the MSI with msiinfo. The MSI's Product Id is *, so the code is new with every release.
  • The UpgradeCode, {e52bba9c-2a77-4969-9762-41cfd1f050d2}, never changes. It is the only Apps & Features entry, and has no DisplayVersion that could go stale.
  • The default locale's URLs are all on git.jcollie.dev.

wingetsource check --changed-since origin/main passes and downloaded the installer to confirm its hash. The unit tests pass.

Still to do for #3 is the test on the Windows VM: install, winget list -s JCOllie, and an upgrade to the next MSI.

harrier's release workflow already submits every later version through winget-submit. Until new-version can replace the ProductCode (#5), each of those pull requests carries the previous release's code and needs it fixed by hand before merging.
