Part of #18

What to build

The end-to-end tests compare packages with zixl-dump and look inside them with zixl-info, rather than msidump and msiinfo. msitools stays only to build wixl's packages and as the cross-check from the other tickets.

Acceptance criteria

  • compare.sh, upgrade.sh and build-step.sh use zixl's tools.
  • arm64 packages, which msitools cannot build, get the same table checks from zixl's tools that the other architectures get.
  • The README and CONTRIBUTING describe the tools and the tests as they are.

Done in b9e6042, green in CI run 18.

  • compare.sh reads tables with zixl-dump and cabinets with zixl-info. upgrade.sh and the build-step check use zixl-info, and the latter no longer needs msitools.
  • arm64 packages now get the table checks second hand: their tables must equal the x64 package's, apart from the template's platform and the installer version (at least 500).
  • msitools remains only to build wixl's packages and as the cross-check on the reader.
